About Vite Private
A true genius of modern portrait photography, the Dutch Erwin Olaf mixes journalistic reportage with the photo taken in the studio and the posed portrait. Olaf’s favorite scene is the private dimension: the interior of the houses, the almost silent conversations, the gazes and the atmospheres, often inspired by 1950s films, in which he moves the protagonists of his creations. His images, always perfect, are the result of a unique creation of a lively intelligence, able to design and create an elaborate and compelling story for each paragraph, as well as for each frame of a film.
