First edition, first impression of Song of Silent Water by Mathieu Chaze, Medium format hardback in new condition.
About
A dog in the mist,
a quiet landscape of rolling hills,
a tree reflected in the water,
a solitary heron
nature, serene in its understated elegance,
untouched by photographic effects.
Its fragrance, its secret atmosphere:
these seemingly simple photographs speak to me.
I feel their sincerity;
they exist outside of trends,
free from the passing fashions of the day.
Mathieu Chaze has truly grasped
what photography can reveal of the authentic
purely and simply!
You can sense his deep need
to see and create these images
not to impress,
but to express his being.
And here we are, walking alongside him!
Isnt it wonderful
what photography can do?
