About
Freedmans book of photos, A Time That Was, attempts to capture an Ireland in the process of becoming what she describes as a time that was, places that were, that will never be again. The black and white photos are crisp and richly textured, lending their subjects a romantic quality and slight mournfulness. Short vignettes by Freedman describing her subjects accompany several images.
