Books Included in This Collection:
The Clues in the Fjord
Set on Icelands remote west coast, this opening novel introduces Hildur Rnarsdottir, the islands lone detective, and her ambitious trainee Jakob Johanson. Traumatic memories simmer beneath the calm sea as cases tighten into something darker. The mentorrookie dynamic is tested as clues point to long-buried secrets. Atmospheric setting, tight plotting, and a confident, character-driven pace mark a strong gateway into the series.
The Grave in the Ice
The investigation widens as the cold coast conceals more than weather. Hildur wrestles with memories of her younger sisters from twenty-five years earlier, while Jakob faces a custody battle that strains their partnership. Bodies surface from frost and fjords, forcing them to confront personal storms. A balance of intimate emotion and procedural craft keeps the tension high and the mystery tight.
The Shadow of the Northern Lights
As more deaths surface, Hildurs sisters past lingers, and Jakob travels to Finland for a custody hearing with potentially far-reaching consequences. The trail grows darker as new witnesses emerge, linking past pain to present danger. The Shadow of the Northern Lights heightens suspense, weaving moral complexity with a chilling, almost visceral sense of peril.
The Secrets from the Deep
2022 finds Hildur returning from Hawaii to safjrur, with Jakob permanently at her side.
