About Love You (One Picture Book)
Love you focuses on the idea of the symbols we use to express love. Whether it’s a heart spray painted on a wall or a lock clamped on a bridge. Maybe it’s initial carved on a tree or a marriage proposal doodles into the sand. Templeton examines a varied range of public expressions of (romantic) love. In fact, they go all the way back to prehistoric cave paintings. As a matter of fact, this study of the language of love, which has the heart’ as its main symbol, is the central theme of Templeton’s study. Her documentary approach allows her to explore her themes from the inside out, exposing them to the viewer like a dissected animal. Finally, Love You is a limited edition of 500 copies and each of them includes a 5×7 inch original print, signed by Deanna Templeton. Completely unmissable.
