About Painting Pretty Pictures
A book for photography and fine art lovers alike. A stunning compilation of nudes in which photographer, Rankin, blurs the line between photography and painting. Inspired by Gerhard Richter amongst other influences, Rankin photographed the worlds top models naked against sumptuous materials. He then pushes the boundaries of modern retouching and shows what artistic effect it can have by turning his photographs into apparent oil paintings. A departure from his usual style, this book may surprise those familiar with Rankin’s work.
