What Makes This Collection Special:
Owning these four books together lets readers follow Adam Greens progression from handling his first major defence to tackling high-stakes celebrity and art-world cases without waiting for individual releases. The recurring cast, recurring legal procedures and escalating personal stakes create a satisfying through-line across the volumes. Collectors value the consistent branding and the convenience of starting the series complete. The set also works well as a gift for fans of British crime fiction who enjoy realistic barrister perspectives alongside classic whodunit structure. Because the books share a tonal consistency and recurring themes of justice and hidden grudges, the collection rewards binge reading while still allowing each story to stand alone.
Books Included in This Collection:
The Defence [Hardcover]
When product influencer Adrian dies in a poisoned bath-salt demonstration, suspicion falls on his assistant Jules. Adam Green must sift through a list of business rivals, ex-partners and disgruntled clients to build a credible defence. The story blends insider views of social-media fame with classic courtroom cross-examination, showing how Green learns to balance client loyalty against uncomfortable truths.
The Trial
Decorated police officer Grant Cliveden collapses at the Old Bailey, and the finger points to repeat offender Jimmy Knight. In his first solo case, trainee barrister Adam Green quickly realises Clivedens past conceals multiple enemies. The narrative examines police accountability and the pressure on young counsel to perform under intense public scrutiny.
The Suspect
The apparent accident that kills a rising television personality leads straight to celebrity chef Sebastian Brooks, yet Green uncovers a network of professional jealousies and personal betrayals within the glossy TV industry. The book explores how surface charm can mask deeper grudges and how evidence can be read more than one way.
The Protest
At a glittering Royal Academy private view, artist Max Bruce is sprayed with cyanide-laced paint by a seemingly random demonstrator. Greens investigation reveals long-buried rivalries among the art establishment. The case tests Greens ability to separate political theatre from genuine murderous intent.
