About The Meaning In The Making
Why do we create? Why do we feel the urge to make things? Is there a particular reason behind this? Whether you pick up a camera, a paintbrush, a pen and paper, or press your fingers into wet clay – these are all acts of creation. Acts of making. But is purely making something enough? Maybe not quite as we tend to give specific meanings to the things we make. It is our attempt to find our own voice, to share our perception of the environment that surrounds us, to try to explain life from our point of view. And to make sense of it all. And what’s that meaning worth if we do not share it with each other? As we strive to discover our voice and find the strength to share our message, to continue to be inspired and deal with reactions we get for our work, Sean Tucker’s new book is exactly what we need to help us on our creative journey and to guide us towards The meaning in the making.
